Green Initiatives Coordinator

Full-time contract to March 31, 2024, with ongoing employment subject to funding availability.

Overview
The Green Initiatives Coordinator will provide development, coordination, and implementation of activities and events at the community event. To support Alberta Friendship Centres with green and climate related solutions – including green energy, retrofits/infrastructure, community engagement, education, and relationship building.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Responsibilities
- Champion solutions for climate change and environmental matters
- Community consultation/engagement facilitation
- Research, complete data collection and analysis, prepare quality reports
- Produce professional materials, resources, and tools
- Build partnerships and strengthen relationships through collaboration and networking
- Project development, coordination, and implementation
Requirements (or Qualifications)
- Post-secondary degree
- Experience in the energy or environmental sectors preferred
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products, social media applications, and virtual meeting platforms
- Strong analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills
- Ability to travel
