Overview
The ANFCA is seeking a Researcher/Data Analyst to utilize research methodologies to gather, interpret, and analyze data to support Youth Initiatives in Alberta. A key focus of this position will be to advance the meaningful outcomes and engagement related to reconciliation through the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the 94 Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).
- Work daily in Teams to ensure documents are saved, filed, and shared appropriately.
- Support the engagement of urban Indigenous youth within the project and community.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation, and report generation.
- Ability to produce professional reports, materials, and resources.
- Work together and within Special Initiatives Teams to achieve project outcomes.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products, specifically Excel and Teams
- Capacity to quickly learn software.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule demanding work assignments.
- Develop and maintain efficient and effective recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Possess advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of urban Indigenous Friendship Centre Movement, structure, and processes will be considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of UNDRIP and TRC is an asset.
Requirements (or Qualifications)
Post Secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in research/data related fields, or related equivalencies; at least three (3) years of applicable experience that relates to the duties and responsibilities specified.
